Civic Center Bike-In Movie Series

Civic Center Park

Drive-in movie theaters may have become relics of a by-gone era, but bike-in movie nights are NOT! Civic Center Conservancy is hosting a new movie series on Sunday nights in Civic Center Park. So cruise to the Park in style with a B-Cycle or ride your own, just make sure you’re settled in before it gets dark as the movie begins at dusk. Facing the City and County Building in Civic Center Park, you will enjoy the show while admiring this dramatic backdrop. Admission is free and bring a picnic basket or purchase eats from on-site gourmet food trucks. Make sure to check out Matthew Broderick in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, starting at 7:30 p.m. Sunday August 7th.

Don’t forget about some of the other Denver locations featuring outdoor movie series. The Lowry community will be ending their summer movie series in style with Speilberg’s Stapleton Movie Nightclassic E.T. Popcorn and ice cream will be available, as well as dinner items for purchase. Movie starts at 8 p.m., but get there early to catch some live music by Yo Mamas and Papas.

Just up the road is Stapleton and their summer series of family freindly movies. Featured this month is The Princess and the Frog on Friday August 12, and Secretariat on Friday August 26. Movies start promptly at 8 p.m. and are screened on The Green. Enjoy the films with a picnic blankett, a picnic basket and the stars.
